I wrote about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl performance this week and wanted to do a deep dive on his discography beyond the few tracks he was able to play in his Sunday night set.
I remember where I was when To Pimp A Butterfly (2015) dropped. I was in Chicago visiting family and there’s a picture of me standing next to my hip-height cousin with one headphone in my ear, the other one dangling over his head as I lean over and smile for the photo. I was blasting Kendrick at the family function (I’m pretty sure my cousins are now all Kendrick fans so it’s all good).
