Faye Webster, J.J. Cale, and Talking Heads

Faye Webster played the Greek last week, and I actually forgot that I quite liked her most recent record, Underdressed at the Symphony (2024). She performed this new song at the show, which sounds like something of the UATS era; Faye Webster basically has a million versions of two songs, but I love those two songs. I’d love to engage with some of you in the comments about artists like this—I don’t honestly think it’s always a bad thing.
